The Casa Sognidoro lies in the Ligurian locality of Artallo, which can be reached via Imperia in just few minutes by car. Imperia offers many absorbing activities, fine restaurants and sandy beaches. You can easily park by the apartment itself, which offers ample room for six people and comprises two double bedrooms each with a king sized bed, a living-room with daybed, a bathroom with shower. The well equipped kitchen, which includes a microwave oven, opens up to the living area. The terrace is reached through the dining area, and gives a splendid view over the landscape; it is also the ideal place to end the day while savouring some of the fine local wine.

Imperia is the fourth largest town in Liguria. It became a municipality in 1923 as a consequence of the union of Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, two towns on the Western Riviera divided by the mouth of the River Impero.

The two nuclei remain distinct despite the administrative merger and extensive property development.

Porto Maurizio was an ally of Genoa from the thirteenth century onwards, while Oneglia, the natural sea outlet of the Impero Valley, was allied with the House of Savoy from 1576. Oneglia's origins as a town date back to mediaeval times. Worth visiting are Palazzo Doria (now completely transformed), which was the birthplace of Andrea Doria, and the church of San Giovanni Battista. Porto Maurizio, which stands on a promontory, began to develop after 1000 AD: the oldest district is called Parasio. The cathedral and the historic buildings are well worth visiting.

Artallo is a mountain town approximately 400 years old. It sits in a picturesque setting about 3 km above the harbor city Porto Maurizio. All that which make a Riviera holiday perfect can be found here: beaches, harbor, promenade, bars, restaurants, small shops and arts and crafts. There is also a great path to St. Agata for strolling along.

The property is approx. 5 min from the sea(Imperia). This is also where lots of hiking or mountainbike trails start.
