The holiday home of Isolabella is close to the centre of the warm and welcoming village of Dolcedo. The property is very practically and attractively furnished and offers two bedrooms, a spaciously laid-out living room and a separate kitchen. There is a beautiful view of the Val Prino valley and Dolcedo, and the terrace will tempt you to spend at least a few evenings socialising on it, with glasses of red wine on hand. The gorgeous sandy beaches are easily reached by car in ten minutes. In Porto Maurizio you will find the Spiaggia d\' Oro, with the finest sand in the region.

Dolcedo lies in the middle of the Prino Valley and is the municipality with third highest amount of land given over to olive cultivation in the province of Imperia (30% of its territory). As an ancient feudal estate of the Clavesana family, the town began its expansion in the thirteenth century, when the Bishop of Albenga entrusted the church of San Tommaso to the friars of Lerins, who encouraged olive cultivation. This was the period in which the water-mills were built: the population then began to move out of the higher districts towards the riverside areas, including today's main district, which was at that time known as "Piazza" because it was a market town.


Dolcedo


In 1228, the feudal estate passed into the hands of the Republic of Genoa. The municipality became independent in 1613.

In the alleyways of the old town centre, you can see the old artisan shops, while the ancient weights and measures marks are still visible in what is known as the "suttu munte" loggia. The buildings along the Prino and the single-span bridge are remaining signs of the town's former prosperity. The excellent acoustics of the main square make it an ideal place for the concerts and shows that take place on the black-and-white pavement outside the parish church of San Tommaso. Although of mediaeval origin, the church has a colourful eighteenth-century façade: a Baroque canopy frames the fifteenth-century portal. Deep blue Baroque decorations can also be admired inside the church; it also contains some precious works from the Genoese school, including some paintings of the Virgin Mary over the apse, which are attributed to the Carrega brothers. The bell tower is one of the highest in the region. Other monuments to be seen are the Saracen tower, the oratory of San Lorenzo and the church of San Domenico.



In the district of Ripalta there is a characteristic bridge that was once the only means of access to the town. During his childhood, the poet Giovanni Boine stayed in Lecchiore, a district ensconced among the olive groves. Excursions beginning in Dolcedo take you to some places of great natural interest, including Monte Faldo (1149 m.) as well as historic interest, such as Monte Folia, where archaeological finds have been made. The sanctuary of Lampedusa has for centuries been a destination for pilgrims. Dolcedo has a special court where elastic ball is played. For those who love horse-riding there are many riding schools in the area.

Restaurants im Ort wunderbar,Imperia ist eine schöne Stadt, Genua einen Ausflug wert.Der schönste Strand für uns ist Diana Marina. Wir habeb uns viele Urlaubsanbieter im Netz angesehen Ihre Seite ist die Übersichtlichste uns die Abwicklung perfekt

Einzig eine fixe Duschkabine auf der Sitzbadewannne wäre besser als ein Duschvorhang. Es hatte sogar einen kleinen Fernseher der im Beschrieb nicht erwähnt war. Für uns hat es gestimmt. Auch "PEPE" im Hundezwinger war immer ruhig. Resataurants sind im Ort alle zu empfehlen. Zum einkaufen ist man mit dem auto in 10 Minuten in einem grossen Supermarkt bekammt aber auch alles im Ort. Für einen schönen Sandstrand muss mann 30 Minuten nach Alassio fahren. Die Strände um Imperia sind steinig. Monte Carlo erreicht man in 45-60 Minuten und ist einen Ausflug wert. Uns hat es in Ligurien und Dolcedo sehr gut gefallen. Die Blumenriviera Homepage ist zudem die Beste die ich für Ligurien angetroffen habe.

Einige Kleinigkeiten in der Küche haben gefehlt: Tablett (da wir immer auf der Terrasse aßen) Untersetzer für Töpfe Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit unserer Terrasse Wir haben viele Ausflüge gemacht (z.B. Pigna, Dolceacqua, Busana Vecchia) und haben danach noch im Meer gebadet. Der Strand in Busana hat uns am Besten gefallen. In Porto Maurizio (wir wohnten in Dolcedo) war es häufig sehr windig.

Wanderung "Brückenweg" ist sehr schön Strand in Imperia bei Felipe (gegenüber vom Supermarkt) ist sehr zu empfehlen nette Leute, gutes Restaurant, Bar mit netter Atmosphäre zu günstigen Preisen, englischsprachig Es war ein sehr schöner Urlaub! Vielen Dank für die gute Organisation!

ein Handfeger zur Kehrschaufel und ein Staubsauger wären hifreich. Das Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer ist zum Schlafen eigentlich nicht geeignet.Wir haben die Matratzen aus den Betten im 2. Schlafzimmer benutzt. Pizzeria La Fontanella..... sehr zu empfehlen... die Strandabschnitte an der alten Strasse Richtung Diano Marina sind ruhig und mit Hunden benutztbar Die Gastgeber im Casa Isolabella sind sehr freundlich und bemüht den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten..... es gab Gemüse aus dem Garten ...Wein aus eigener Herstellung... immer ein netter Kontakt auch trotz Sprachschwierigkeiten bei uns. Wir kommen wieder!!!!!!

eine kleine Mikrowelle waere sehr praktisch wegen den kleinen Kindern die immer was zu essen warm gemacht bekommen muessen. eigentlisch ist alles in der Naehe. Imperia ist Abends sehr schoen zu betrachten und zu besuchen.

Terrasse ist nur ein Freisitz. Keine Möglichkeit zum Essen im Freien. Dolcedo, schöne Restaurant's.Pizzaria mit frischen Zutaten aus eigenem Garten. Valloria, schöner alter Ort mit kunstvoll bemalten Türen, usw. Ganze Region ist wunderbar wenn man sie mit offenen Augen durchstreift. Wenn auch unser letztes Domizil nicht ganz unseren Erwartungen entsprach, werden wir auch 2010 wieder bei Ihnen Ligurien buchen.
